Production Process Of Pulp Tablewares

Table of Contents

As we all know, more and more countries and people are starting to use pulp tableware instead of plastic ones. Paper pulp tableware is made of sugar cane bagasse, straw residue and other non wood plant fibers that grow 100% a year and are processed into paper pulp. Through high-tech treatment, food grade water-proof and oil-proof additives are applied to make paper pulp environmental tableware have the following characteristics:

1. Its strength is much higher than that of foamed plastics.

2. Resistant to oil, water and fracture.

3. High temperature cooking.

4. Save resources. protect the environment.

5. Reduce to carbon dioxide and water, and return to nature

The product quality fully conforms to the national standard of the people’s Republic of China gb/t18006.1-1999 general technology for disposable degradable tableware

Pulping process

In order to improve the strength and other properties of pulp tableware, the main raw materials and related auxiliary materials should be prepared first, and mixed with pulp with certain beating degree and certain concentration to form pulp tableware raw material pulp. The main raw material is usually bleached wood pulp, which can be directly purchased by a professional pulp and paper mill (made by a series of wood processing). Generally, imported high-grade wood pulp is required for the production of products of higher grade; Medium grade products can choose domestic ordinary wood pulp, while low-grade products can choose bagasse pulp, wheat straw pulp, bamboo pulp, reed pulp and selected white paper edge and other short fiber pulp. In order to make rational use of raw materials and reduce costs, different pulp types can be matched according to different product requirements. Among them, the foaming pulp and the hydraulic turbine pulper can make the fiber saponification to improve the binding capacity of the fiber; Relevant auxiliary materials are added to improve the humidity resistance of pulp tableware molding and the waterproof performance of finished products. Specific auxiliary materials can be added to prepare pulp. Finally, the concentration of raw pulp can be adjusted horizontally to reach about 2%, so as to facilitate the dewatering and molding of raw pulp on the mesh mold.

Forming process

Molding is to make raw pulp into Semiwet pulp tableware of a certain shape. That is, the pulp from the pulping process is dehydrated on the metal mold to form the prototype of wet pulp tableware. This is a key process in the production of paper tableware. About 95% of the water in the pulp is removed during forming. Therefore, this process plays a decisive role in product quality, energy consumption, production efficiency and damage rate. The quality of molding depends on the molding machine, molding method, mold structure and quality, raw pulp quality and other factors.

Molding and drying

The process of removing the moisture that is not removed from the prototype of pulp tableware during the formation process by special molding machine to reduce the cost of drying and dehydration is called molding. At the same time, molding can improve the adhesion between fibers and increase the strength of wet paper mold.

Drying is to heat and evaporate the pulp tableware prototype with the help of the preheated upper and lower shaping pure copper shaping mold heat to remove the remaining moisture of the pulp tableware prototype after molding and pressing, and play the role of sterilization at the same time. As the heat energy consumption in the drying process is large, and the cost consumed is about 300 times that of molding dehydration, the rational design of the whole drying process to save cost has become the main way for pulp tableware enterprises to improve their economic benefits.

In this process, the hot mold is used for pressure forming, calcination, and eliminating the net marks left by the paper net forming, so that the internal and external surfaces are flat and smooth, and some words and patterns can be pressed according to different customers and use requirements. At the same time, remove the burrs at the edges of the fast food tableware, and press the indentation that is convenient for the folding and opening of the box cover.
